In a recent revelation, Frankie Muniz, known for his role as the titular character in Malcolm in the Middle, admitted to missing two consecutive episodes of the show. He also shared his perspective on the environment on set during that time.
Muniz is currently a contestant on the Australian reality show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, which centers around survival. In episode 8 of the show, which aired in April, the former child star openly confessed that,
“There were two episodes I’m not in. I walked off the set.”
Despite not disclosing specific names or giving extensive information, Frankie Muniz revealed that he departed as a form of protest in response to the actions of “certain individuals”.
The reason for his absence in two episodes, as he explained, was due to the toxic atmosphere created by certain individuals on the set. He also mentioned that other cast members were hesitant to address these individuals, whom he characterized as “controlling, rude, or disrespectful.”
“I didn’t care if they told me I was never going back, because it was worth it to me. It helped that the show was based around me.”
The popular show Malcolm in the Middle debuted in 2000 and concluded its run after seven successful seasons in May 2006.

In the TV show Malcolm in the Middle, Malcolm was exceptionally intelligent, with an IQ of 165, placing him in the “above average”range on the IQ chart. His sharp mind allowed him to easily remember details like license plates and order meals without needing to look at the menu. Despite this, Malcolm longed to be just like everyone else.
Despite his academic excellence, it often proved to be more of a burden than a blessing throughout the series as he was constantly relied upon by his family in times of need.
The relationship between him and his brothers was often difficult, with periods of darkness and bitterness between them.
Furthermore, despite being a full-time student, Malcolm had also taken on various temporary roles at the request of his mother. These included tasks such as babysitting, teaching, and working at the same Lucky Aide pharmacy as his mother.
He constantly straddled the line between youth and maturity. Despite his intelligence and eagerness to learn, he often found himself in quarrels with his brothers, pulling pranks, and lacking wisdom, much like any other typical teenager.
In addition, the show portrayed Malcolm as a remarkably handsome, intelligent, industrious, conscientious, principled, amiable, compassionate, and loving young man who seemed to lead a very unhappy existence.
