Last week marked the one-year anniversary of Forza Motorsport, and to celebrate, some fascinating statistics about the game and its players were shared. In addition, Turn 10 Studios has unveiled the latest patch, Update 13, which comes packed with exciting features including complimentary new Mustang models, additional Formula Drift vehicles, a brand-new racetrack, Drift Mode, and several enhancements.
The focal point of this update highlights drifting and Pony cars. The much-anticipated Drift Mode has made its comeback, allowing players to execute drifts during Free Play and Private Multiplayer sessions. Gamers can now accumulate a Drift Score each lap (the score resets with each new lap) based on speed, angle, and drift duration.
A new addition to the roster of tracks in Forza Motorsport is the Sunset Peninsula. Established in Florida in 1958, this raceway features five layouts that challenge both driver skills and automotive capabilities. Furthermore, it has been announced that Bathurst will be reintroduced in mid-December as part of Update 15.
Among the new vehicles introduced in Update 13 are:
- 2024 Ford #25 Mustang RTR
- 2024 Ford #88 Mustang RTR
- 2024 Ford #130 Mustang RTR
Owners of the Car Pass and those with deluxe editions can also claim the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse at no extra cost. For fans of Formula Drift, the update adds these new drift cars to your collection:
- 2020 Formula Drift #151 Toyota GR Supra
- 2006 Formula Drift #43 Dodge Viper SRT10
- 1997 Formula Drift #777 Nissan 240SX
If you’re new to drifting mechanics in Forza, Turn 10 Studios has provided valuable tips and tricks for maximizing your drift scores. You can find these insights in the official update announcement.

- 2014 Chevrolet #3 Corvette Racing Corvette C7.R
- 2001 Acura Integra Type R
As for the updates, here are some of the key minor changes:
- Enabled the ability to Spectate after joining a race that is already underway in Private Multiplayer.
- Enhanced Drivatar AI trailing abilities, particularly during braking, reducing instances of rear-end collisions.
- Refined multi-car aerodynamics to lessen the downforce effect on leading cars, broaden aero wake near cars, smooth transitions at wake edges, and decrease changes in aero balance caused by drafting.
- Improvements made to Virginia International Raceway (VIR): Reduced collidable objects on the track, enhanced grass quality, and adjusted road wetness for improved consistency.
- Introduced a new “Enter Text” feature within the Livery Editor font menus, allowing players to type characters via a keyboard or virtual keyboard, which automatically generates a vinyl group for quicker creation of text elements.
- Rectified an issue where Featured Rivals and VIP Rivals events initially had dynamic rubbering set to 0%, which is now corrected to 100% by default.
