Permanent Launch Date Announced

Today, Epic Games announced via social media that “OG is coming BACK and is here to stay.” Players can soon dive back into the past and experience the original Battle Royale map, unearth nostalgic loot, and explore early seasons of the game. This permanent feature is set to launch on December 6, across all platforms, marking a significant moment for the community.

Reviving the First Ten Seasons

According to recent leaks, the upcoming permanent mode will incorporate elements from the first ten seasons of Fortnite, rotating them monthly to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging. Players can look forward to both Zero Build and traditional build modes being supported, catering to diverse play styles.

Epic is poised to tap into the robust success witnessed during the initial launch of Fortnite OG, which attracted over 44.7 million players on November 4, 2023, marking it as the most active day in the game’s history. During that day alone, players logged over 102 million hours of gameplay, underscoring the enduring popularity of the franchise.

Supplementing Existing Modes

It’s important to note that while Fortnite OG is being permanently reintroduced, it will not replace existing modes.
