The storm has consistently played a pivotal role in the gameplay dynamics of Fortnite. As matches unfold in this popular Battle Royale, the Storm Circle gradually constricts, compelling remaining players to converge and ultimately determine who claims the coveted Victory Royale.
To outsmart opponents, players can enhance their strategic advantage by predicting the location of the next Storm Circle. One effective approach is to secure Forecast Towers in Fortnite. This guide will walk you through the process of locating and utilizing these towers to stay ahead in the game.
Where to Find Forecast Towers in Fortnite

In Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, there are five designated spawn points for Forecast Towers, but only two will appear in any given match. Here’s where players can expect to find these Forecast Towers:
- East of Shiny Shafts
- South of Magic Mosses / North of Brutal Boxcars
- Northwest of Shining Span
- North of Masked Meadows
- South of Outlaw Oasis and Crime City
To check if a Forecast Tower will spawn during gameplay, players have a couple of options. They can look out for the tower’s presence when exiting the Battle Bus or while exploring the vicinity. Additionally, a marker will signal the nearest Forecast Tower when NPCs tasked with its protection begin to phase onto the map.
Steps to Secure a Forecast Tower in Fortnite

Forecast Towers operate in a three-stage process that adjusts as the Storm Circle evolves. Initially, when a match commences, players will see a message reading “Awaiting Forecast, ”indicating that the forecasting feature is not available yet.
As the game progresses, specifically once 50 seconds remain before the first Storm Circle begins to close, the message updates to “Acquiring Forecast.”This status starts at zero percent and incrementally climbs every second, reaching full completion at precisely one minute before the second Storm Circle closes.
When the forecast is successfully acquired, players must then confront three Alpha Grunts that spawn, among them a more formidable mini-boss. To obtain the critical Forecast Tower Access Card, players should focus on taking down this mini-boss, as it represents the primary threat, while the two lesser Grunts can be dispatched as well for safety.
Upon defeating the mini-boss, it will drop the Access Card. Players should promptly take this card to the Forecast Tower computer. Successfully doing so allows players to secure the forecast, thereby gaining ongoing access to the future location of the Storm Circle.
