Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1: Leaks Indicate Return of Reality Augments
Recent leaks surrounding Fortnite have hinted at the potential return of Reality Augments in Chapter 6 Season 1. Esteemed leakers Wensoing, Loolo_WRLD, and blortzen uncovered this intriguing information within the game files connected to the v32.00 update. Notably, these Reality Augments are expected to make a comeback, but with a fresh twist that has yet to be clearly defined.
Originally launched at the beginning of Chapter 4, Reality Augments quickly became a staple in the Fortnite experience, significantly transforming how players approached various challenges related to combat and mobility. However, their prominence diminished mysteriously toward the end of Chapter 4, leading to their absence from subsequent gameplay. Fans now speculate that this hiatus is about to end.
New Reality Augments Expected in Chapter 6 Season 1
While details remain sparse, the trio of leakers has pinpointed at least five new Reality Augments set for introduction in the upcoming v33.00 update:
- Agile Mending
- Headshot Hunter
- Healthy Pouncer
- Revelling Revealer
- Vehicle Modifier
The names suggest interesting functionalities:
“Agile Mending” likely refers to a mechanic that enables quicker healing or health recovery;
“Headshot Hunter” may enhance the damage from headshot hits;
“Healthy Pouncer” could grant players increased mobility when at full health.
Meanwhile, “Revelling Revealer” might allow players to discover opponent locations, and
“Vehicle Modifier” is expected to improve vehicle performance, possibly affecting speed or fuel efficiency.
Will Reality Augments Appear Later in Chapter 2 Remix?
It appears unlikely that these Reality Augments will debut in Chapter 2 Remix. Leaks clarify that this batch is exclusively intended for Chapter 6 Season 1. Additionally, since Epic Games aims to preserve the nostalgic essence of the original Chapter 2 from 2019, the introduction of Reality Augments would disrupt that experience.
The absence of interactive NPCs further underscores this approach. Currently, NPCs serve merely as atmospheric elements, allowing players to engage in conversation but offering no items or services in return. As a side note, players should be on the lookout for Eminem’s RG Minigun, which is set to allow users to embody a “Rap God”starting from Week 2 (November 7, 2023).
As more information about the new Reality Augments emerges during Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Remix, fans remain eager to see how these features will reshape gameplay dynamics and strategies.
