Former Suns guard reveals mysterious woman following him home & getting arrested over bizzare behaviour
Rex Chapman, who used to play for the Phoenix Suns, was known as one of the most captivating players in the 90s. Despite the dominance of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls during that era, Chapman’s style of play was both impressive and entertaining.
While he was an entertaining player to watch, Chapman’s personal life off the court was not as admirable during his career. He battled with drug and gambling addiction, and in a recent interview, he revealed the difficulties he faced. One notable incident was when he was followed and subsequently arrested.
During his initial years in the league, he played for the Charlotte Hornets alongside Dell Curry and Muggsy Bogues. It was during this time that Chapman became aware of a woman who would attend their home games and stare at him. He later found out that she had even followed him to his subdivision on a few occasions, without ever speaking to him and only staring at him.
At the 41:55 mark, the ex-Suns guard discussed it.
“One night, I’m at home and I look out front, her car is out front,”Chapman said. “I called one of my neighbors and said, ‘Hey, what do I do?’ He said, ‘Call the police.’
“So, I called the police, the police came. As they pulled in the subdivision, she started to peel out and they hemmed her in and they got her out. She was naked, she had s*x toys in there and she was just out there in front of my place doing her thing.”
Chapman kept the incident to himself and didn’t confide in anyone, not even Curry and Bogues, due to feeling embarrassed.
Rex Chapman and Steph Curry: A Former Suns Player’s Influence on a Future NBA Star
Despite being the youngest of the three, Rex Chapman had a fascinating relationship with Dell Curry and Muggsy Bogues. He often found himself sitting in the backseat alongside a young Steph Curry, while Dell and Muggsy occupied the front seats.
“The idea that the baby sitting next to us would be the best player maybe in the world ever or the greatest shooter ever or even an NBA player at all, it was not even something that you would think about,”Chapman said.
While riding in the backseat with Steph, Chapman never considered the possibility of being next to one of the greatest shooters of all time.
