“For now, naked you are” – When Valentina Shevchenko blasted “offended kid” Sean Strickland’s controversial take on Paige VanZant’s OnlyF*ns claim

Valentina Shevchenko responded to middleweight champion Sean Strickland’s contentious remarks about Paige VanZant’s statements regarding her earnings from Onlyf*ns.

The previous year, the ex-UFC athlete surprised her supporters by disclosing that she earns more money in one day on the subscription platform than she did throughout her entire UFC career.

After VanZant made her claims, Strickland responded on social media. His reply was filled with misogyny and insinuated that VanZant’s physical appearance was the only reason she was signed to the UFC. He also proceeded to belittle women’s MMA.

Despite Strickland’s claims, former UFC women’s flyweight champion Shevchenko vehemently disagreed. She took to her social media to refute his statements, stating:

“Interesting unpack here 🤔 That looks more like an offended kid, who got less money in his entire fighter career than female fighters do! 😂 Good try, maybe UFC will see that and add some cash 💵 to your purse next time. But for now naked is you are 😂”

Dana White’s Response to Sean Strickland’s Controversial Comments on Female Fighters

Despite being aware of their offensive nature, Dana White stood by middleweight contender Sean Strickland’s recent remarks. Strickland made derogatory remarks about the co-main event fighters and donned a t-shirt with a controversial slogan during the UFC 297 pre-fight media day, but White remained supportive.

White spoke about the situation on Pat McAfee’s show, acknowledging that Strickland’s comments were unnecessary. However, he also emphasized the importance of a fighter’s freedom of expression.

“Obviously, the two girls [Pennington and Silva]… he said horrible things about them, There’s no need for that, they’ve never done anything to him. This what he does. At the end of the day, he’s entitled to his own opinion, and he can say whatever he wants to say… he’s allowed to say what he wants.”
