Foo Fighters Withdraw from Southside Music Festival After Dave Grohl’s Affair Admission

The Foo Fighters have announced the cancellation of their appearance at the Southside Music Festival, mere weeks after frontman Dave Grohl publicly disclosed that he has a child from an extramarital relationship. The band was set to headline this year’s festival, but Grohl’s recent admission seems to have prompted a change in their plans.

In a succinct statement posted on the Foo Fighters’ official Instagram account, the band stated:

“Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival. Please check the festival website for more information.”

The post had comments disabled, and the same information was shared via the band’s Instagram Story. No further details have been provided regarding the reason behind their decision.

Dave Grohl’s Admission and Its Effect on the Soundside Music Festival Lineup

Just last week, Dave Grohl, 55, announced on Instagram that he is now the father of a baby girl born from an affair outside his marriage to director and actor Jordyn Blum. The frontman of “The Best of You”asserted:

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”

Grohl also mentioned his efforts to mend his relationship with Blum and their three children.

“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,”he expressed.

The details surrounding Grohl’s newborn daughter remain unclear. His representative informed TMZ that a viral post from a woman claiming to be the mother of Dave Grohl’s fourth child was inaccurate.

The Soundside Music Festival will continue this weekend in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with the Foo Fighters being replaced by Jack White and Greta Van Fleet as the Sunday headliners. Noah Kahan is set to headline on Saturday.

Other performers at the festival include Goo Goo Dolls, Fleet Foxes, Boyz II Men, Grace Potter, and Norah Jones, among others.

While Dave Grohl has largely refrained from further commentary after his initial revelation, some individuals have spoken regarding the situation. Two of Grohl’s former partners, Jennifer Finch and Kari Wuhrer, have shared their perspectives publicly.

Finch, a member of the rock band L7, has defended the Foo Fighters frontman, while Wuhrer expressed her lack of surprise about the news, alleging that Grohl cheated on her previously with snowboarder Tina Basich.

As of now, Grohl’s wife, Jordyn Blum, has not commented on the matter. The couple, married since 2003, was recently spotted without her wedding ring, leading to speculation about their marriage’s status. Members of the Foo Fighters have also chosen not to address the issue publicly.
