Dead Take: A Spine-Chilling Puzzle Adventure
Dead Take presents players with a gripping horror experience available on Steam, delving into the dark corners of the entertainment industry. This uniquely themed game combines elements of classic horror with intricate puzzles, challenging players to engage with iconic cinematic devices scattered throughout the gameplay.
Initially, players encounter straightforward challenges. By remaining vigilant and inspecting the documents scattered within the unsettling Cain mansion, players can gather crucial information. Keeping a close eye on numbers and jotting down notes can provide significant advantages in solving future puzzles.
One notable challenge arises with the projector located in the expansive cinema room. Upon entering, players will note a distorted screen, setting the stage for the task ahead. Beyond a haunting poster of a shadowy figure with eerie white eyes, players will find a room containing both a computer and essential project equipment.
Steps to Repair the Projector
The first part of this puzzle involves a simple search. Behind the projector lies a tool case containing a screwdriver. Use this tool to examine the right side panel of the projector, triggering an item select prompt. Carefully unscrew the two screws illustrated in the accompanying guide.
Upon accessing the panel, a new challenge emerges: a component within the projector is damaged and cannot simply be removed. Players must replace this broken part, which creates an obstacle as the replacement’s location is not immediately clear.
Locating the Storeroom Key

The replacement component is located within the Storeroom, which can be accessed at the mansion’s entrance. However, the door is securely locked. The key can be found in an unexpected hiding spot: a Roomba.
Navigate to the vacant gallery on the opposite side of the mansion and listen for the distinct sound of the Roomba bumping against the wall. Find this robotic vacuum in the corner; players can pick it up and interact with it directly.
Once the Roomba is flipped over, locating the back panel is key.Interacting with the screws on the panel will release it and unveil the Storeroom key hidden inside.
Obtaining the Replacement Part

With the key secured, make your way to the garage room. Players should remain cautious, as a sudden jump scare from a blaring car alarm adds to the tension. Use the key to unlock the Storeroom, locate the locker, and retrieve the necessary replacement part.
However, the puzzle continues: players must examine the replacement part closely and interact with the panel marked with a sticker to successfully extract it from its case. Armed with the replacement, players can return to the projector and install the new component to bring the cinema room back to life.
