Fisch Whale Migration: Tips for Catching Moby and Blue Whales

Fisch has recently introduced an exciting update, following the massive Mariana’s Veil expansion, which now includes some of the ocean’s most magnificent creatures: the Blue Whale. Similar to the Orcas, these giants can be seen migrating across the game map, mirroring their real-world behaviors. However, the Whale Migration event in Fisch occurs infrequently. If you’re eager to make the most of this unique opportunity, you’re in the right spot. Continue reading for our comprehensive guide on how to catch both the Blue Whale and Moby Dick during this event.

Where to Find the Whale Migration Event in Fisch

In Fisch, players can only catch Whales during a designated Whale Migration event, which is time-limited to approximately 15 minutes. Unlike the more sporadic Megalodon and Kraken hunts, this event allows for the capture of multiple Whales at once, akin to the Orca migration event. Here’s a quick look at the chances for encountering different Whales during the migration:

  • Blue Whale: 20% chance
  • Moby Dick: 5% chance

For this event, there’s currently only one starting location. Once it kicks off, grab a GPS device in Fisch and head directly to the starting point using your fastest boat, as time is of the essence and this event is dynamic.

At the starting point, up to five Whales will spawn simultaneously. There’s no need to worry about the Whales moving too quickly, as their speed makes it easy to catch them. The event concludes either when all Whales are caught or when they reach the end point. To enhance your chances of success, be sure to stock up on Tempest (from Terrapin Island) and Smokescreen totems (from Mushgrove Swamp), since rainy weather is essential for spawning during the Fisch Whale migration.

Tips for Catching the Blue Whale and Moby in Fisch

Now that you’re familiar with the location and spawning of the Fisch whale migration, it’s time to gear up for the hunt. Choosing the right fishing rod is critical; consult our Fisch Rod Tier list to find the best options. Notably, Whales tend to favor Shrimps as bait, which can be obtained by opening Common Crates and Bait Crates.

You can purchase these bait crates at various surface islands for 120 cash each, or consider redeeming the latest Fisch codes to acquire some bait for free. During the migration event, you’ll encounter two types of Whales:

Fish Rarity Weather Time Season Preferred Bait
Whale Exotic Any Any Summer Shrimp
Moby Dick Whale Secret Any Any Summer Squid

For the most effective fishing, it’s advisable to utilize the Heaven’s Rod, which boasts a high Luck stat. Alternatively, the Rod of the Forgotten Fang is a great choice, as it significantly increases the chances of landing higher-tier fish, while the Seraphic Rod offers quick reeling capabilities. Given that a Whale can weigh over 200, 000 kg, your rod should be one of the top performers for maximum weight capacity.
