Hidden Path Entertainment’s Ambitious D&D RPG Dream: Project Dante

In March 2021, Hidden Path Entertainment, renowned for titles such as Defense Grid and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, unveiled plans for a thrilling third-person open-world RPG inspired by the Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) universe. At the time, the studio was in the process of recruiting talent for critical positions, including Graphics Programmer and Lead Graphics Programmer, along with roles for Senior Technical Artist and Writer.

Excitement Turns to Disappointment

The anticipation surrounding this project was palpable, as it marked the first true open-world D&D RPG adventure. Regrettably, excitement turned to disappointment when, in January 2023, Wizards of the Coast, the steward of the D&D franchise, opted to cancel several projects.
