Samsung continues to maintain a consistent design philosophy in its Galaxy S series, introducing only incremental upgrades with each new iteration. However, the upcoming Galaxy S26 family may witness its most significant exterior transformation yet, as we have caught our first glimpse of the three flagship models in their mock-up forms. While the Galaxy S26 and its ‘Ultra’ variant largely resemble their predecessors, the Galaxy S26 Edge is expected to draw considerable attention, particularly due to its distinctive and prominent rear camera bump.
Samsung Keeps Primary Camera Count on Galaxy S26 Edge; Larger Bump Suggests Possible Sensor Upgrades
Images showcasing all three versions of the Galaxy S26, shared by tech leak expert Sonny Dickson, reveal some intriguing details. Although the leaked image only illustrates the back of the devices, it offers some insight into their design. Remarkably, the camera layout appears unchanged across the models, but the Galaxy S26 Ultra might see an increase in camera sensors—from four to five—enhancing its photographic capabilities compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
An interesting point to note is that preliminary reports suggested the Galaxy S26 Ultra would feature a rear camera bump akin to that of the Galaxy S26 Edge. However, the current visuals suggest that such a change may not make it into the finalized product. Nonetheless, the striking resemblance of the upcoming flagship to Apple’s anticipated iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max raises eyebrows, particularly considering the two circular cutouts, hinting at promising enhancements in camera technology.

Looking specifically at the base model, which is rumored to be named the Galaxy S26 Pro, its design seems to retain many elements of the Galaxy S25. Reports indicate that Samsung aims to make future devices sleeker and more ergonomic, while also providing larger batteries. This combination is expected to enhance user experience by extending battery life while improving overall grip. As we progress towards 2025, expect more leaks and insights into the Galaxy S26 lineup, ensuring you stay updated on the latest developments.
