Celebrating 35 Years of the Fire Emblem Series

Nintendo is commemorating the 35th anniversary of the iconic Fire Emblem series by introducing Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier. This exciting addition allows NSO members to relive classic moments of tactical gameplay directly on their Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, fans can enjoy the Fire Emblem Engage soundtrack, now accessible through the Nintendo Music app on mobile devices, enhancing the anniversary celebration.

A Look Back at Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

Although Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is recognized as the eighth installment in the series, many players may associate it with their initial experiences of Fire Emblem. The first game to launch internationally was Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade for the Game Boy Advance, which was marketed simply as Fire Emblem. Following that, The Sacred Stones further captivated gamers with its engaging narrative, allowing players to explore two distinct storylines featuring the twin protagonists, Prince Ephraim and Princess Eirika from Renais. Completing one campaign unlocks the additional Creature Campaign, providing even more gameplay variety.
