The much-anticipated variety series Finland Rent-a-Room, featuring a star-studded cast including Lee Je-hoon, Lee Dong-hwi, Kwak Dong-yeon, and Cha Eun-woo, unveiled its poster and trailer on October 30. This exciting show promises an immersive adventure as these talented actors exchange the hustle and bustle of city life for the serene landscapes of rural Finland.

Set to debut on December 6 at 8:40 p.m. KST, the tvN series will chronicle the ups and downs of these “urban actors”as they adapt to life in a Finnish village, famed for being the happiest nation on earth.

The newly released teaser and promotional images illustrate their farmhouse living experience, showcasing the cast members enjoying cozy moments together, which hints at the show’s soothing and healing tone.

Discovering Finland Rent-a-Room

Finland Rent-a-Room captures Lee Je-hoon, widely recognized for his role in Signal, Lee Dong-hwi from Reply 1988, Cha Eun-woo of ASTRO fame, known for True Beauty, and Kwak Dong-yeon, who portrayed Hong Soo-cheol in Queen of Tears. In this series, they will immerse themselves in the local culture, engaging in farming activities, building relationships with local hosts, and connecting with neighbors—experiences not typically accessible to tourists.

One poster features the cast enjoying their time at the farmhouse, while another shows them relaxing on a bed.

The teaser presents thrilling moments, including Lee Je-hoon navigating a tractor and Cha Eun-woo riding horseback through a picturesque waterway, showcasing their unique challenges as they acclimate to their picturesque surroundings.

“In this rural Finnish village, Lee Je-hoon, Lee Dong-hwi, Kwak Dong-yeon, and Cha Eun-woo reside in a rented room surrounded by nature. The show promises a variety of enjoyable experiences through community life, which travelers rarely get to encounter, including interactions with local hosts and engaging in hands-on work,”remarked Producer Lee Se-young, who directed the program.

He further noted that Finland Rent-a-Room aims to highlight diverse facets of Finnish culture, providing viewers with the chance to appreciate the distinctive charm of rural Finland, as stated by Sports Chosun.

Meet the Cast

After gaining recognition in the acclaimed indie film Bleak Night, Lee Je-hoon established himself on television through prominent roles in series like Signal, Where Stars Land, Taxi Driver, and Move to Heaven. He is currently involved in several upcoming projects, including The Art of Negotiation and Taxi Driver 3.

Lee Dong-hwi gained fame through his performance in the beloved series Reply 1988. He also starred in Extreme Job, which became a blockbuster in South Korea. His later works include Can We Get Married? and The Plot.

Cha Eun-woo, a member of the boy band ASTRO, launched his solo career this year with the EP Entity. He started as an actor with the film My Brilliant Life and has since become well-known for his roles in Gangnam Beauty, True Beauty, Island, A Good Day to Be a Dog, and Wonderful World.

Kwak Dong-yeon made his acting debut in the drama My Husband Got a Family, winning the Best Young Actor Award at the Korea Drama Awards. He is also known for his performances in Gangnam Beauty, My Strange Hero, Never Twice, Vincenzo, Big Mouth, and Queen of Tears.
