As you advance in The Knightling, searching for Sir Lionstone, you will find yourself in the intriguing area known as Cornered Bosk. Players familiar with classic Legend of Zelda titles might recognize the resemblance this location shares with the twisting paths of the Lost Woods.
While navigating through Cornered Bosk, you will notice that attempting to reach the outpost may unexpectedly transport you to different locations. Unlike the Lost Woods, however, finding your way to the outpost here is simpler. Yet, arriving at the outpost alone won’t lead you directly to Sir Lionstone.
Fortunately, you’re not alone on this quest; several locals have glimpsed the whereabouts of Sir Lionstone. To gain their assistance, you must first assist them by completing a few straightforward tasks. Fortunately, these tasks are quite manageable.
Unlike many other game environments, clues in this adventure do not automatically mark your next destination. No need to fret, as I’ll clarify the route for you. If you’re currently struggling in the “Trail of Thought”mission, follow these instructions to locate Sir Lionstone’s Presumed Campsite in the Knightling.
How to Locate Sir Lionstone’s Presumed Campsite within Cornered Bosk in The Knightling

The most straightforward route to Sir Lionstone’s Presumed Campsite begins by heading south from the sawmill. Here are the hints you receive from assisting the residents at the outpost:
- The sawmill operator reported seeing a robust knight moving through the nearby ruins.
- The barrelman observed a large figure to the southwest of the outpost.
- The gardener indicated that a Callyrium sword was spotted nestled among a dense thicket of thorns.
Your first step is to navigate to the sawmill and then continue southward.Keep your back to the sawmill; you’ll know you’re on the right path if you see Weeping Willow trees directly ahead.
Cross onto the adjacent land, watching for a bridge to your right, where you will encounter a few minor adversaries. It’s best to disregard these foes and proceed straight ahead.

Forward, you’ll notice a log functioning as a bridge leading to a stone structure. Once you enter, take a left to proceed southeast.

As you move forward, a door will open to your right, revealing a mechanism.Engage with this mechanism to open the door leading to the next area. Make sure to fully open the door to allow yourself enough time to cross over, as it will close automatically after a short period.
Upon reaching the opposite land, you will encounter red thorny vines obstructing your path. If you find yourself at a monster-filled enemy camp, you know you’ve reached the correct location.
Defeat all enemies in the vicinity and investigate the locale for a scroll left by Lionstone. A cutscene will trigger, depicting a conversation between the Knightling and Magnustego. After the cutscene concludes, explore the area for Lionstone’s signature blue footprints.

Next, traverse the footprints, ascending the log bridge ahead. Continue northward, then take a left to discover an abandoned house.

Glide toward the house and move north, where the thorny vines await. As you near them, a pedestal will be revealed.

Position your shield on the pedestal to activate it. Then, while keeping your shield in place, complete the associated minigame by jumping to the top and activating the three light sources.
This will transport you to the next segment of your mission, where you will need to follow Sir Lionstone’s apparition, allowing you to successfully complete the Trail of Thought mission.
Upon finishing this mission, the game will instruct you to return to Gynni for a shield upgrade that enhances your gliding abilities. However, be cautious; when I attempted to fast-travel to her, I encountered a bug. To avoid being stuck and needing to load an earlier save, keep this in mind.
