In Pokemon Legends Z-A, players embarking on the second Hyperspace Lumiose survey can unlock several new Side Missions. One notable quest is titled Octolock Away the Pain. This mission is initiated by an NPC who can be found crouched by a wall near the eastern entrance of Wild Zone 10, positioned just slightly underground. His aim is for you to help alleviate his back pain by locating a Pokemon capable of using the move Octolock. This Pokemon is none other than the Fighting-type Jujitsu Pokemon, Grapploct.

However, capturing a Clobbopus is essential before you can obtain a Grapploct with the Octolock move. Below is a comprehensive guide to help you through this process!
Completing Side Mission 138 (Octolock Away the Pain) in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Locating Clobbopus

The exclusive method to capture a Clobbopus in Pokemon Legends Z-A is by visiting a 1-Star Hyperspace Wild Zone located in Lumiose City. You should spot the grey silhouette of Clobbopus among the catchable Pokemon listings.
Since Pokemon appearances in these zones can vary, feel free to rest and alter the in-game time to refresh the Hyperspace Wild Zones. This strategy can help you discover a zone where Clobbopus resides. In my experience, upon entering a specific Hyperspace Zone, I encountered several Clobbopus close to my starting point, although this will differ for each player.
Transforming Clobbopus into Grapploct

To evolve Clobbopus into Grapploct and ensure it learns the crucial move Octolock, you must first teach it the move Taunt. For reference, my Clobbopus was captured at level 23 and had not yet learned this move.

To level up Clobbopus, you can feed it Exp. Candy or engage in battles until it surpasses level 34, at which point it will learn Taunt. Upon evolving into Grapploct, it will automatically recognize Octolock as its new attack.
Upon completion of these tasks, you can return to Kazuki in the sewers and perform the Octolock move on his back to successfully finish the Side Mission.
Rewards for Completing Side Mission 138

Upon completing this mission, you will receive 3, 800 Poké Dollars and a TM for Facade. The Facade move is a Normal-type attack that deals increased damage if the performing Pokemon is affected by a status condition like Sleep or Burn.
If you’re looking for further assistance in navigating the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, consider adding Mega Absol Z to your roster. Additionally, a secret vendor offers powerful TMs that can enhance your team’s capabilities.
