Final predictions for NXT Stand & Deliver – Emotional clash between former friends, regaining the title & more
For the past several years, NXT Stand & Deliver has been the first in-ring event to kick off WrestleMania 40 weekend, providing fans with some of the most exceptional wrestling of the year during this highly anticipated weekend.
The upcoming event will face the challenging task of preparing for the largest WrestleMania in history. Despite not holding a championship on the program, the feud between Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams will be the main event of the show.
With a lot at stake for their fans, bookers, and personal pride, which NXT superstars will go above and beyond to deliver unforgettable matches? These are our predictions for Stand & Deliver.
#7 A heated six-woman tag team feud
Despite the fact that bullies are often disliked by others, Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail have a unique relationship. When Jayne’s dark side resurfaced after her heroic actions at Chase University, she teamed up with Jazmyn Nyx, Kiana James, and Izzi Dame to turn against Thea Hail.
Ever since her debut two years ago, Fallon Henley has been a guiding force in the women’s division. She has been a constant support for Hail, even when Jayne turned on her. Kelani Jordan has also stood by Hail, providing her with unwavering support against the bullying actions of James and Dame.
The weekend of WrestleMania is bound to have a few cathartic moments, and this match is sure to be one of them.
The predicted outcome is for Fallon Henley, Thea Hail, and Kelani Jordan to emerge victorious against their opponents, Jacy Jayne, Izzi Dame, and Kiana James.
#6 Joe Gacy and Shawn Spears attempt to outdo each other in a game of discomfort
One star has gone back to where he started, while the other has reinvented himself as a troublemaker. Shawn Spears has attempted to reveal the truth about the deceivers in NXT, while Gacy is satisfied with causing chaos in both playful and risky manners.
After Gacy stole his signature chair, Spears became enraged but ultimately sought revenge during the go-home episode with a surprise attack. Although Gacy’s match resulted in a No Contest, he still managed to make his way to Ava and challenge Spears for a match at Stand & Deliver, despite his injuries.
Similar to Mick Foley, Gacy has shown an ability to endure significant amounts of punishment. However, this has often resulted in valiant defeats for The Hardcore Legend. It is likely that Gacy will also face a similar fate.
Forecast – Shawn Spears will emerge victorious over Joe Gacy.
#5 Who is the top heavyweight in NXT?
Oba Femi will be facing off against his fellow big men, Josh Briggs and Dijak, in a defense of the North American Championship. Following a swift victory over Dragon Lee to claim the title, Femi has successfully defeated all challengers who have dared to climb his daunting mountain.
Briggs and Dijak have been engaged in a rivalry for the title for several months. Both wrestlers delivered impressive performances during the latest Iron Survivor Challenge. They continued to outdo each other with impressive moves, including dueling moonsaults and chokeslams, at Deadline in December.
Despite Femi’s recent victory, a hasty return would not be in line with his current schedule. While Briggs and Dijak are certainly deserving of a NXT title, this approach is not the right path for them to achieve it.
Forecast – In the upcoming event Stand & Deliver, Oba Femi is expected to forcefully remove Dijak and Briggs from his mountain.
#4 Predicting the Future: How Many More Days Will the Wolfdogs Reign as NXT Tag Team Champions?
Despite continuing to play a gatekeeper role with new music, Baron Corbin’s decision to return to NXT has revitalized his career. His partnership with Bron Breakker has brought new life to both wrestlers.
By showcasing their comedic chemistry, Axiom and Nathan Frazer have added depth to their respective characters and demonstrated their versatility. As a result, they have earned the opportunity to face off against the Wolfdogs at Stand & Deliver.
The young duo has impressed with their performances and have the potential to defeat Corbin and Breakker. Despite only recently winning the titles on February 13, Breakker is also a wrestler on SmackDown. This match is unpredictable, but Frazer and Axiom will continue to compete in NXT.
Prediction – Axiom and Nathan Frazer caused an upset against the Wolfdogs.
#3 Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai clash at Stand & Deliver for the NXT Women’s Championship
Despite her efforts to earn a title shot through proper means, Roxanne Perez eventually reached her breaking point and compelled the champion to grant her an opportunity. At this year’s Stand & Deliver event, Perez will have the chance to reclaim the title she was previously stripped of through a pinfall victory.
Despite her average reign, Valkyria’s performance is largely influenced by the caliber of her challengers and her restricted proficiency in promos. While she excels in the in-ring aspect of her game, there is room for improvement in her ability to deliver promos.
With The Prodigy’s sudden change to a heel character, there is hope for a successful title reign. If they do not win the title, they may potentially be chosen for promotion to the main roster during the next WWE Draft.
Based on current trends, it is highly likely that Roxanne Perez will reclaim the NXT Women’s Championship.
#2 Ilja Dragunov defends his title against Tony D’Angelo
Despite the refreshing addition of a new challenger in the title picture, it appears that Tony D’Angelo may only serve as a temporary contender at Stand & Deliver. However, he has demonstrated his ability to compete with the best in the industry and is fully committed to his persona.
The method used to bring about his opportunity, nevertheless, appears to have been designed to allow for Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes to resolve their conflict at Stand & Deliver.
Despite having a faction that could potentially overpower Ilja Dragunov, D’Angelo knows that The Don of NXT is not the one who will be able to dethrone The Mad Dragon from his championship reign.
The Mad Dragon’s rule is predicted to persist.
Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams to finally face off in high-stakes match
The ongoing disagreement between Williams and Hayes has been going on for a while now, and it seems like they should have already had two matches. In these matches, they could have each secured a victory, setting the stage for a final match with a significant stipulation in the main event at Stand & Deliver.
After having a brief stint on the main roster, Hayes is expected to officially make the move after WrestleMania 40. With Williams’ rising fame, it is likely that he will also transition to the main roster.
Even though Trick Williams and Melo may both join the main roster, the former NXT Champion knows that he needs to win more. However, he is willing to put his friend over regardless.
It was predicted that Trick Williams would achieve a poignant win against his ex-friend at Stand & Deliver.
