Changes to Clouddark Demimateria Exchange in Patch 7.16
The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) Alliance Raid, which debuted on December 24, follows the release of Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.15. This challenging encounter allows teams of up to 24 players to face off against the formidable final boss from A Realm Reborn’s World of Darkness alliance raid. The latest encounter also incorporates several mechanics from Shadowbringers’ Eden raid series, where players encountered another version of The Cloud of Darkness. Successful teams completing this raid earn both Clouddark Demimateria 1 and 2, with the latter increasing in quantity based on the number of first-time clears.
However, significant changes to the Chaotic Alliance Raid’s reward system are on the way. Square Enix’s social media updates confirmed that once Patch 7.16 is implemented, players will be able to trade Clouddark Demimateria 1 for Clouddark Demimateria 2, though the precise conversion rate remains unspecified. This enhancement enables players to procure items such as the A Half Times Two hairstyle (requiring 49 Clouddark Demimateria 2) and the Dais of Darkness mount (requiring 75 Clouddark Demimateria 2), both of which are achievable within the game.
