New Outrunner Plush Keychains for Final Fantasy XIV
Taito has unveiled an exciting new line of merchandise for fans of Final Fantasy XIV, featuring a series of four plush keychains inspired by the Outrunner, an enemy and mount from the upcoming Dawntrail expansion. These keychains are set to launch in the latter half of May 2025. Currently, the only international retailer offering these collectibles is Aitai Kuji, where each keychain can be purchased for ¥2, 500 (approximately $17).
Design and Features of Outrunner Keychains
The Outrunner, by default, is depicted as a machine with a distinct purple face and two white eyes in FFXIV Dawntrail. However, players will notice that this expression can shift based on actions during gameplay, such as when engaging in hunts or using mounts. The keychains showcase four different variations of the Outrunner’s expressions: one displaying anger, another confusion, and a third illustrating a knocked-out state. Each plush keychain measures slightly under three inches (7 cm) tall and is equipped with a convenient ball-chain cord for easy attachment.

This announcement marks the second new merchandise release from Taito related to Final Fantasy XIV this month, following the recent introduction of a world map rug that became available in Japan in April 2025.

The Outrunner plush keychains are expected to appear in Japanese arcades by the end of May 2025. For fans eager to experience the content of Dawntrail, FFXIV is accessible on multiple platforms including PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices.
