EA Vancouver has officially announced an exciting update for its acclaimed mixed martial arts title, EA Sports UFC 5, set to be released on February 27 for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The forthcoming update, version 1.20, will not only expand the roster but also enhance gameplay by addressing crucial issues and introducing key improvements.

Amid growing speculation about a potential new installment in the UFC series planned for 2025, EA Vancouver remains committed to providing regular content updates for EA Sports UFC 5. Since its launch, one of the primary fan grievances has been the absence of ranked fighters. The studio has taken this feedback seriously, consistently adding fighter updates through free patches to align the game’s roster more closely with the current UFC rankings.

Building upon the January update, EA Vancouver is set to conclude February with Patch 1.20, which will welcome Iasmin Lucindo—a Women’s Strawweight fighter boasting a professional record of 17-5-0. Her inclusion in EA Sports UFC 5 is a nod to her upcoming bout against Amanda Lemos at UFC 313 on March 8, an event where Alex Pereira will defend his Light Heavyweight title against Magomed Ankalaev.

Additionally, the February update will introduce former Welterweight sensation Michael “Venom”Page to the Middleweight division. This change follows Page’s successful debut in the new weight class, where he secured a unanimous decision victory over the previously unbeaten Shara Magomedov during a UFC Fight Night event on February 1. Furthermore, players can look forward to new Alter Egos becoming available on March 4, although specific details on these additions have yet to be announced.

The upcoming 1.20 update is designed with a focus on refining gameplay and resolving existing bugs. According to the official patch notes, several enhancements will include: – Introducing Max Holloway’s unique switch stance combo to his 90s Alter Ego.– Correcting a camera issue linked to the Outside Trip maneuver from the Muay Thai Clinch.– Fixing tracking issues on some Challenge Board tasks and addressing various crash situations.

The patch will go live for download at 12 PM ET, however, players should anticipate approximately one hour of server downtime.
