Overview of Upcoming Nintendo Direct
- Confirmation of a Nintendo Direct in February 2025, as reported by a reliable leaker.
- The presentation will likely showcase third-party titles for the Switch.
- Fans should anticipate information regarding the Switch 2 around April 2.
Despite the absence of an official announcement from Nintendo, a well-known leaker has confirmed that the anticipated Nintendo Direct in February 2025 is on track. As February progresses and the lack of news continues, speculation among fans has increased regarding the likelihood of such a presentation occurring as initially rumored. Nevertheless, some community members remain optimistic that the Direct will occur within the next fortnight.
Since early January, there has been growing speculation about a February Direct. A prior leaker had predicted that the presentation would take place on either February 4 or 5, deriving this forecast from Nintendo’s service maintenance schedule. However, with those dates behind us, no Direct has transpired. Recently, another leaker, reputed for accuracy, reassured enthusiasts that a Direct is still anticipated this month.
On February 15, a user known as PH Brazil on Famiboards stated that his insider source confirmed an upcoming Direct in February. This user had previously indicated that the next Nintendo Direct would occur in February without specifying a date, but he gained attention due to correctly forecasting the August 2024 event that introduced titles like Civilization 7 at launch and Pizza Tower for the Switch. His recent remarks, indicating a February Direct, stem from the same trusted source.
Hope for Fans: February 2025 Direct Confirmed by Leading Leaker

In addition to PH Brazil’s insights, renowned gaming journalist Jeff Grubb has also indicated that sources confirm Nintendo is gearing up for a Direct later in the month. Grubb suggests that this anticipated event is more likely to be a Mini Direct or a Partner Showcase as opposed to a substantial main event. This assessment aligns with Nintendo’s announcement about revealing more details concerning the Switch 2 in an April presentation; hence, a smaller-scale event is expected prior to that.
Regarding the content of the rumored Direct, expectations remain vague. If Grubb’s statements are accurate, fans can look forward to brief updates on various third-party games slated for the Switch. However, clarity on any major announcements remains elusive until Nintendo issues official communications.
