What Happens in FBI Season 7 Episode 1?
The premiere episode, titled “Abandoned,”opens with a gripping synopsis:
“Following the assassination of a Brooklyn plumber, the team embarks on an investigation that stirs tension with the CIA.”
The episode kicks off with the killing of Tariq Amini, who is ambushed by professional assassins en route to work. Soon after, his close friend Cyrus, along with his wife Nadia and daughter Sarah, are also targeted, resulting in Cyrus’s death in front of Agents Tiffany and Scola.
As the events unfold, Nadia discloses to Maggie and Zidan that in 2005, the CIA approached her, Tariq, and Cyrus, offering them U.S. citizenship in exchange for eliminating a member of the Iranian Secret Police. The three accepted the proposal and left Tehran. Now, however, the CIA wishes to distance itself from the high-profile assassination and is intent on eliminating any loose ends, targeting them and their families.
The episode culminates with a chilling confrontation between a stoic CIA officer and a defiant FBI team, as Maggie asserts her independence from the CIA’s authority.
