In the thrilling world of Remedy Entertainment’s FBC: Firebreak, players quickly discover that ammunition is often limited. As you progress, especially on higher difficulties and at elevated Clearance levels, running out of rounds during critical missions becomes a persistent challenge.
To enhance your survival tactics against the relentless Hiss, I’ve compiled essential strategies to help you secure additional ammo throughout your gaming sessions.
Before venturing into uncharted areas, it’s important to start with a full ammo pack. The higher the Clearance level, the more likely you are to be overwhelmed by waves of enemies, making preemptive preparation crucial.
Accessing Ammo Stations
Scattered throughout the game, you’ll find Ammo Stations strategically placed next to healing stations. Here, players must face their fears—completing a necessary “bath”to access vital resources.
Using these stations is simple: interact with them, and you’ll employ a distinctive mechanic crafted by Remedy to collect ammo and push forward in your mission.
Here’s a valuable tip: charging the generator next to the ammo station first allows you to collect ammo at an accelerated pace. This can make a significant difference when a horde of Hiss is hot on your trail, so be sure to utilize this feature.
Utilizing Shelters
Within the mission area, keep an eye out for locked rooms marked “Shelter.”Do not hesitate to unlock these doors, as they typically contain enough ammunition to fully replenish your team’s supplies.
In addition to ammo, these rooms offer grenade replenishment and health restoration via water stations. However, hold your excitement—despite the name, these are not guaranteed safe zones. The Hiss can and will enter these rooms, so remain vigilant.
Entering these shelters while being pursued by a horde can quickly lead to a precarious situation, so choose your moments wisely.
Confronting the Hiss

Although infrequent, finishing off Hiss enemies can occasionally yield additional ammo drops.Personally, I have noticed this mainly after taking down larger Brutes armed with their own weapons and when defeating full hordes.
This strategy is not particularly efficient for ammo replenishment, as you’re likely to expend more rounds than you gain from those drops. Nonetheless, any scrap of ammo counts in the heat of battle.
Stay alert for ammo packets that may drop during intense encounters with the Hiss. The last thing you want is to deplete your ammunition reserves in a critical moment.
