Discovering Anomalies
Anomalies are generated during gameplay when the Corruption modifier is activated for any given job. Players will encounter various possessed Altered Items reminiscent of those seen in the predecessor Control, including whimsical entities like the Rubber Ducks and even a Mailbox.
To enable the Corruption modifier, you must first successfully complete a job with a level 3 Clearance. This is currently the highest job level cap in FBC: Firebreak. Once completed, the option to re-attempt the job with Corruption settings activated becomes available.
By activating the modifiers, you can summon up to three Altered Items across the three key zones of a job. However, it’s imperative for your team to prioritize neutralizing these anomalies, as they will continuously enhance enemy capabilities and impose detrimental effects such as freezing players in place.
Locating and Utilizing the Black Rock Neutralizer

Alternatively, you can equip the Black Rock Ammo Research Perk, which enhances your weapon’s ammunition with a chance to include Black Rock Neutralizer rounds.
The Black Rock Neutralizer can commonly be found in ammunition stations and safe rooms. At ammo stations, look for the weapon on the side wall panels, as depicted in the accompanying image.
While it’s possible to find the weapon lying on the ground in safe rooms, prioritizing ammo stations is generally more efficient for success in the game.
