Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has officially unveiled its character roster for the eagerly anticipated Season 1 Pass, introducing fighters from multiple renowned video game franchises. This expansion will see five distinct characters gradually integrated into the game’s lineup over the following year, enhancing its competitive landscape.
Marking the first new installment in the Fatal Fury series in 26 years, City of the Wolves is set to launch on April 24, 2025, on major gaming platforms including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Unlike its predecessor, Garou: Mark of the Wolves from 1999, which featured a roster of primarily new fighters, this upcoming title promises a mix of familiar faces from classic SNK titles alongside exciting crossovers.
Long-time fans will be thrilled to see the inclusion of Street Fighter’s legendary characters, Chun-Li and Ken Masters, within the game. A recently released trailer confirmed their inclusion in the first season pass, with Ken expected to arrive first during summer 2025 and Chun-Li slated for later in the year, likely before 2025 concludes.
Characters in the Season Pass 1
- Andy Bogard – Summer 2025
- Ken Masters – Summer 2025
- Joe Higashi – Fall 2025
- Chun-Li – Winter 2025
- Mr. Big – Early 2026
Despite the inclusion of characters from the Street Fighter universe, SNK remains committed to showcasing its own icons. Andy Bogard, known as the brother of series star Terry Bogard, is expected to be the first character introduced in the summer. Meanwhile, fan-favorite Joe Higashi will make his return in the fall. Additionally, Mr. Big, while not originally from the Fatal Fury series, will join as a notable boss character from Art of Fighting, enriching the roster further in early 2026.

In conjunction with the Season Pass announcements, developers have also unveiled that Kain R. Heinlein, the formidable final boss from the previous game, will now be a playable character. Players will have the opportunity to utilize Kain’s formidable skills, marking a notable evolution from his previous role. The official website recently announced this exciting development, generating buzz within the gaming community for the continuation of the Fatal Fury legacy.
