Fans Support ZEROBASEONE’s Gunwook Amid Strawberry Allegations: “It’s Really Not That Serious”

On September 18, a user on X criticized ZEROBASEONE’s Gunwook for his behavior during a birthday livestream of another group member. During the stream, the idol was observed eating strawberries that were placed on top of the birthday cake.

The individual pointed out that Gunwook had eaten eleven out of the fourteen strawberries on the cake, claiming that this was inconsiderate to the other members since there were eight others present to share the cake. The netizen emphasized that it wasn’t Gunwook’s birthday, calling his actions supposedly disrespectful and unacceptable. In a caption for a video displaying Gunwook eating strawberries, the user stated:

“The ‘strawberry controversy’ is that Gunwook, who ate 11 strawberries even though there are 9 members, seems to be the one to blame. It’s not even his birthday cake; it’s someone else’s birthday cake, so why did he eat so much?”

However, many fans and other netizens quickly defended the idol, asserting that the controversy was unfounded and unnecessary. They noted that there was no reason to criticize Gunwook simply for eating strawberries on a cake, especially since none of the other members seemed to have a problem with his actions.

Fans found the entire situation amusing, indicating that some individuals were attempting to fabricate controversy surrounding the idol. One fan remarked on X:

“it’s really not that serious also, other took strawberries too, let my boy eat in peace god”

Several reactions to the recent strawberry controversy surrounding the idol followed:

“bro he was just eating and no members complained about it. is life too hard so u need to find someone to talk sh*t abt,”said a fan on X

“bffr, how jobless can y’all be,”added another netizen

More netizens came out in support of Gunwook, arguing that the matter was unnecessarily scrutinized and criticized.

“What’s wrong with a man that loves to eat?”stated an X user

“please find a life please. All for because he ate strawberries??”commented an X user

“What are we even upset about”added another X user
