“When I visited D’ICON LA, a lot of people inquired about who I took a picture with, which sunbaenim. It was Jin-sunbaenim. There’s a reason for this. Primarily, he’s my mom’s ‘forever one-pick.’ And, although I say this with a hint of caution, I believe he’s among the Top 3 visuals in K-pop. My mom initially had no interest in idols, but Jin sunbaenim changed that,”he remarked.

ZEROBASEONE made their debut on July 10, 2023, under WakeOne with their initial EP, Youth in the Shade. This EP achieved over 2 million sales, breaking records for rookie K-pop groups in 2023.

The group consists of nine members: Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Park Gun-wook, and Han Yu-jin. ZEROBASEONE was created through the reality talent show, Boys Planet, where only nine of the original 98 contestants debuted.
