Fans React to Trae Tha Truth’s Hint About J. Cole’s Upcoming ‘The Fall Off’ Album: “It’s Probably Gonna Shock a Lot of People”

Today, Trae Tha Truth hinted that J. Cole, his close friend and frequent collaborator, is seemingly preparing for the official launch of his much-awaited seventh studio album, The Fall Off.

Truth’s recent appearance on The Breakfast Club has gone viral on social media platforms, with fans sharing clips from the interview. In one of these clips, the rapper confirms that J. Cole’s album is likely complete and is “coming soon”.

“His album is coming. And when it [does], it’s probably gonna shock a lot of people. So remember what I tell y’all, a lot of people form opinions and they don’t fully know the situation.”- Trae Tha Truth stated.

The hip-hop community and fans quickly reacted to the reposts of the viral clip from news outlets like NFR Podcast, with most responses centered around Cole’s involvement in the 2024 rap feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

“There’s nothing he can say to justify how he got on his hands and knees for Kendrick”- a user stated.

“There’s nothing Cole can do that can shock anybody that much at this point… never seen someone dip in between hip hop beefs all my life”- added another.

J. Cole explained that the title of the project came to him while grappling with mental health challenges and deep self-conversations when he stated:

“I had a real talk with myself… You made it to where you wanted to make it to. Do you wanna keep going or do you just want to chill and go start a family? Do you want to retire right now?”

Following the drama that erupted after Kendrick Lamar and Drake exchanged aggressive diss tracks, Cole has yet to discuss the potential release date for The Fall Off.

Fans have received numerous hints about the highly anticipated album through hidden bars and references made on J. Cole’s recently released MIGHT DELETE LATER mixtape, most notably in tracks like Stickz N Stones.
