Lil Durk’s Arrest in Broward County, Florida
On Thursday, XXL Magazine confirmed that Lil Durk, whose birth name is Durk Banks, was arrested in Broward County, Florida. He is facing serious murder-for-hire charges and has no bond available while in custody at the Broward County Jail. As of now, specifics regarding the case linked to him have not been disclosed.
Reportedly, this arrest follows the apprehension of five individuals from Chicago, who are believed to have ties to Lil Durk’s OTF and are facing charges of murder-for-hire and conspiracy to commit murder in relation to the 2022 homicide of Saviay’a Robinson, who was related to rapper Quando Rondo and was shot in Los Angeles.
The Chicago Tribune further indicates that the five men detained earlier in the day are associates connected to Durk’s “Only the Family”organization. An indictment unsealed on Thursday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles identified these individuals: Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston.
Moreover, reports confirm that these five individuals have been charged not only with murder-for-hire but also for the use of a machine gun during a violent crime that led to someone’s death.
Prosecutors have accused an unnamed member of OTF of offering “lucrative music opportunities”to anyone willing to execute the murder of Quando Rondo. The incident occurred on August 19, 2022, as Quando Rondo and his entourage were shot at while in their vehicle at a gas station in Beverly Grove.
Currently, there are no further updates or developments concerning Lil Durk’s arrest or the cases involving his detained associates.
