Fans React to BLACKPINK’s Jennie Teasing Solo Album Release on International Girl’s Day: “I Love Her Mind”

On September 27, 2024, BLACKPINK’s Jennie shared new photos on Instagram, which seem to hint at the release date of her highly anticipated solo album. This follows her signing of a global solo deal with Columbia Records on September 9, 2024, where she confirmed that her album would be dropping in October.

Jennie’s recent Instagram post featured the number “1011”written in large white letters on the ground, leading fans to speculate it indicates a potential album release date of October 11, 2024. Additionally, October 11 is recognized as the International Day of the Girl Child, also known as International Day of the Girl.

Fans were intrigued by this coincidence and took to social media to share their thoughts, suggesting that Jennie embodies the essence of a “girl’s girl.”This term is commonly used online to describe women who uplift and support other women’s achievements. One fan expressed their admiration, saying,

“I love her mind so much I wanna kiss it”

Questions arose among fans about whether her upcoming album would address societal issues encountered by girls.

“I wonder, is the song about how girls are treated nowadays or something else,”one fan wrote.

“Damnnn no one is doing it like her. She is hitting so different and boldly, the Woman’s Woman Jennie Kim,”another fan praised her.

“On International Girl’s Day?? Oh Jennie, you beautiful woman,”one other fan added.

Many also commended her for her creativity and vision for her upcoming solo project.

“She is really creative. She downloaded intermittent images on her site as an event for her fans, and her fans pieced them together to uncover the release date of her single,”one fan noted.

“Mother is returning. All her concepts go so hard,”another fan commented.

“Why do I have a feeling female K-pop idols will make an appearance in the MV? Western artists do it all the time, and it would explain Aespa commenting on her post as well,”another fan added.
