On October 7, a report from South Korean news outlet News 1 revealed that President Yoon Suk-yeol referenced BLACKPINK’s Jennie during his visit to the Philippines. He acknowledged Jennie as an emblem of Korea’s soft power, alongside renowned cultural exports such as K-dramas and BTS.

In his address, President Yoon underscored how South Korea effectively “captured the world through soft power” without any territorial claims. The recognition sparked a wave of enthusiasm among Jennie’s fans, who took to social media to celebrate her acknowledgment from the president. A user on X shared their excitement, stating:

“The real ‘bigger’ than her group”

Supporters of Jennie expressed sentiments of admiration, with one noting her status as an “Impactful Soloist,” while another asserted that she is “bigger than her group.”

Jennie Graces 2NE1’s ‘WELCOME BACK’ Concert on October 6

On October 6, BLACKPINK’s Jennie made a notable appearance at 2NE1’s ‘WELCOME BACK’ concert on its final day, celebrating an event that took place from October 4 to October 6.

The concert attracted various K-pop icons, including Stray Kids’ Hyunjin, BIGBANG’s Daesung and G-Dragon, BOYNEXTDOOR, and New Jeans. Post-show, Jennie was seen taking pictures with fellow YG Entertainment artists, which quickly went viral as fans clamored for a YG fan concert.

Additionally, Jennie recently featured on the JBTC variety show My Name is Gabriel Season 1, where she played the role of Maria, a farm stay owner in Italy. Throughout the episodes, she engaged in hosting guests, preparing a variety of pasta dishes, and learning pizza-making skills.
