Fans of The Voice Praise Beya’s Smooth Voice in Blind Auditions Performance

On Monday, October 14, 2024, The Voice season 26 aired its fifth episode, showcasing a diverse array of talented contestants aiming to win over the coaches. While several aspiring singers encountered setbacks during this episode’s auditions, a few stood out, managing to earn the coveted chair-turns from the mentors.

Among these standout performers was Beya from Hawaii, who captivated the panel with her interpretation of “Our Day Will Come”by Ruby & the Romantics. Gwen Stefani was the only coach to turn her chair, acknowledging Beya’s unique sound. Despite being impressed, Michael Bublé chose not to press his button, reflecting on Beya’s versatility in tackling various musical styles.

Fans of The Voice took to X to share their thoughts on Beya’s performance. Many praised her vocal talent, richness of tone, and charisma on stage, while others expressed that her skills seemed average yet showed potential for growth.

“I really like Beya; she’s got a smooth, jazzy voice, and her stage presence is exceptional,”one fan tweeted.

“What a fantastic performance by Beya!”another user commented.

Numerous viewers applauded Beya’s performance during the fifth night of the auditions. However, some were left wondering why Michael did not turn for her.

“Beya’s voice has both jazzy and bluesy elements,”a user noted.

“Beya from Hawaii really flowed with the melody. She was so graceful and engaging. Though the song showcased limited range, it was clear she has more to offer,”another fan added.

“I predict great things for Beya and Gwen together!”one more supporter remarked.

“What is going on with Bublé?! How could he not turn for Beya?”another fan expressed.

At the same time, many fans noted that Beya had immense potential, suggesting that with the right guidance, she could truly shine.

“Beya shows a lot of promise. Not bad at all,”a viewer reacted.

“Beya began her performance strongly, and I believe it could have been even more impressive had she embraced the original arrangement more fully. ‘Our Day Will Come’ is one of my favorites. Kudos to Bob Hilliard & Allen Stanton,”another user commented.

Team Gwen Welcomes The Voice Season 26 Contestant Beya

Beya, a 24-year-old singer from Hawaii, performed “Our Day Will Come,”successfully impressing coach Gwen Stefani. While Michael Bublé expressed admiration for her old-school sound, he ultimately chose not to turn his chair, leaving fans puzzled.

Following her performance, Michael reflected on his decision, stating that while he was enamored with her voice, he questioned her capacity for versatility, saying:

“I just couldn’t convince myself that she would be adaptable! But I have a feeling you’re going to show me just how wrong I am…and I’ll be kicking myself for this.”

He later regretted not turning after learning of Beya’s ability to perform in different genres and dialects, including English and Spanish, which she learned during her travels in Central America, especially in her father’s homeland of El Salvador. Currently, Beya is a professional singer.

In her pre-audition introduction, Beya shared:

“As a full-time musician, I incorporate some Latin music into every performance. The audience appreciates it; it’s a true delight. Generally, I perform in more intimate venues, and now I’m about to take the leap onto the largest stage I’ve ever faced in my career.”

Beya hopes to showcase her talents with a Latin song during the competition, although she identifies soul and R&B as her primary genres.

Gwen Stefani expressed enthusiasm about having Beya on Team Gwen, lauding her voice as “classic, controlled, and simply perfect.”Gwen aims to assist Beya in discovering her artistic identity and aims to “amaze everyone”with her future performances, asserting that the other coaches missed an opportunity by not turning for her.
