Fans of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City React to Bronwyn’s Emotional Discussion About Her Daughter

The fifth episode of season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premiered on October 16. In this installment, the cast members returned to their daily routines following their recent excursion to Milwaukee.

Fans were introduced to Bronwyn, the newest member of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. During a heartfelt conversation with Lisa, she revealed details about her 18-year-old daughter, Gwen, and shared her experience as a young mother, having given birth to Gwen in her late teens. She mentioned that Gwen’s father and his family were not supportive of her pregnancy and chose to distance themselves from Gwen’s upbringing.

Bronwyn became emotional while discussing that Gwen’s father had passed away and that his family had never reached out to her to connect with Gwen. Lisa, who was familiar with Gwen’s father’s relatives, stated that they were interested in meeting their granddaughter. Reactions to this poignant dialogue among fans on X were swift and poignant.

“Bronwyn’s account of her pregnancy and family dynamics is deeply touching and truly unique among the stories we’ve seen,”noted one viewer.

“Bronwyn is absolutely stunning and so kind-hearted. I can’t believe her partner didn’t want to co-parent with her. Ultimately, she found a much better and more affluent partner,”commented another fan.

“Were Lisa and Bronwyn not close? How did Lisa not know about Bronwyn’s history with her daughter?”asked another viewer.

“Bronwyn’s openness and honesty are admirable; she’s been through so much, yet remains incredibly resilient,”added a third fan.

Some viewers from The Real Housewives of Orange County expressed their astonishment at the reluctance of the family to meet the child of a deceased son.

“I hope she checked with Bronwyn first before reaching out (which I didn’t catch in their discussion). It’s perplexing that this woman waited almost twenty years after losing her son to wish to connect,”an X user remarked.

“It’s still on my mind how Bronwyn’s father passed away and his family made no effort to reach out. Smh,”wrote another X user.

Community members appreciated Bronwyn’s rich narrative and expressed a desire to learn more about her journey.

“Bronwyn has an incredibly captivating backstory. I want to hear more every time she reveals details about her life,”a commentator shared.

“There are so many facets to Bronwyn. She’s genuinely one of the most authentic additions to the cast in a long while,”noted another user.

Bronwyn Discusses Her Daughter, Gwen, with Lisa in Episode 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5

The discussion about Gwen emerged when Bronwyn realized that Lisa was well-acquainted with Gwen’s father’s family. Lisa expressed her surprise, stating she never would have imagined this connection.

Bronwyn recounted that she discovered she was pregnant at 18 while in her second year of college. The couple’s attempt to inform his parents led to a very negative response, given their small-town environment steeped in Mormon values.

She recounted the harsh words she faced that day, which she suggested were likely recognizable to Lisa, being described as “damaged,””disgraced,”and “shameful.”Despite pressure to consider adoption, Bronwyn was determined to raise Gwen herself, which her partner ultimately supported, albeit reluctantly.

When Gwen turned two, Bronwyn stumbled upon an obituary for Gwen’s father on Facebook. She made attempts to reach out to his family afterward, but her efforts went unanswered. To this, Lisa affirmed that the family was now eager to reconnect with their granddaughter.
