Fans Hilariously React to SEVENTEEN’s Joshua Using Company Headshots for His Driver’s License: “This Feels Illegal”

On September 23, 2024, GQ KOREA released the latest interview video featuring SEVENTEEN’s Joshua titled “The Human Thom Browne’s What’s in My Bag and The Woody Fragrances”on YouTube. In this engaging video, the popular K-pop idol shared the essentials he keeps in his bag as part of his collaboration with Thom Browne.

During the segment, Joshua revealed his Chanel wallet and displayed his driver’s license. Observant fans quickly noted that he was using a photo from one of his recent photoshoots for his driver’s license.

“This feels illegal,”one fan tweeted.

The clip went viral on X as fans recognized the image from the CARAT Membership Kit. For those unfamiliar, a CARAT Membership Kit is a purchasable item available after a fan subscribes to SEVENTEEN on Weverse, offering exclusive perks such as early concert tickets.

CARATs, the official fandom name for SEVENTEEN’s supporters, pointed out that Joshua’s bandmate, Mingyu, had previously engaged fans by asking them to submit a good picture for his passport during a Weverse Livestream.

“At this point, they can’t be bothered by id photos because they have carat kits and carats themselves editing id photos for the boys,”one fan remarked.

“Gyushua sharing one brain cell. Meanwhile us common folks always have the worst photo for driving license and id card,”another fan joked.

“And I remember when Mingyu asked CARATs for id picture. MY UNSERIOUS GYUSHUA,”one other fan added.

Fans lightheartedly pointed out that SEVENTEEN members often approach these situations with humor. Others reminisced about similar moments from T.O.P. of BIGBANG, who also used a photoshoot picture for his passport.

“When everybody hates their drivers license/id pics, we have SVT members using their company head shots,”one fan mentioned.

“Reminds me of this TOP using it for his passport pic lol,”another fan recalled.
