Taehyung subsequently shared the post on his own Instagram story, much to the delight of his fans.

Alongside the images, Sung-hyun penned a touching letter addressed to Taehyung upon his discharge. This heartfelt note expressed appreciation for the support Taehyung provided during their time together. It highlighted his thoughtful contributions, such as donations for military gym equipment, and fondly recalled the delicious meals the singer often prepared for his comrades.

Taehyung’s Military Journey and Expected Return

Kim Taehyung commenced his military service on December 11, 2023, where he underwent rigorous training alongside RM. Following his initial training phase, he was assigned to the 2nd Corps’ Ssangyong Unit on February 8, 2024, and subsequently engaged in an additional three weeks of training to become a member of the Special Duty Team (SDT).

Presently, Taehyung is serving in a specialized military police unit under the 2nd Army Corps Headquarters located in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. As it stands, only Jin and J-Hope have completed their military obligations; the rest of the members, including Suga, Jungkook, Taehyung, RM, and Jimin, are projected to complete their service by June 2025.
