On September 26, 2024, SM Entertainment made the announcement regarding Jaehyun’s enlistment date of November 4. Following this, the singer known for “Smoke” shared a heartfelt message on Bubble, expressing gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support. He stated:

The company further noted on Weverse that no public events would occur during the idol’s enlistment to ensure the privacy and safety of all soldiers and recruits. As reported by Sports Chosun, the singer received a notice of acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration for the Army Band.
Jaehyun is slated to finish his military service on May 3, 2026, becoming the second member of NCT to enlist, following Taeyong, who joined the Navy’s military band in April and is currently serving as a culture and public relations officer.
