Fans Celebrate TXT’s Soobin Welcoming j-hope Back from Military Service: “BTS are the Seniors They Never Had”

On October 17, 2024, j-hope of BTS officially returned to civilian life after completing his mandatory military service. His fellow band member Kim Seok-jin was on hand to celebrate his arrival, although other BTS members were unable to take official leave due to the rising tensions between North and South Korea.

After his discharge, j-hope visited the HYBE headquarters and went live on Weverse while still in his military uniform. During the broadcast, he expressed his gratitude to fans and held up a placard featuring handwritten notes from the TXT members, welcoming him back. The talented ARSON rapper-songwriter appreciated their thoughtful messages.

Later that same day, Soobin from TXT also connected with fans during a live stream.

“Congratulations on finishing your military service! Although all the hyungs from BTS are great, Hobi hyung uniquely brings joy whenever he’s around. He’s always supported us since our trainee days a decade ago, remembering my name and checking in on me,”Soobin shared, responding to fans’ inquiries about the note for j-hope.

“Hobi hyung initiates our conversations and is always eager to chat. It felt a little lonely while he was serving; his vibrant energy was missed, but I’m thrilled he’s back so we can interact again,”Soobin added.

The camaraderie between BTS and TXT members garnered much admiration from fans. One fan praised BTS for their amiable seniority towards upcoming idol groups, tweeting:

Social media buzzed with excitement as fans celebrated the warm interaction between j-hope and Soobin.

Plans for BTS’ j-hope’s Collaboration with Jin

According to Herald POP, BTS’ Jin and j-hope are set to collaborate on a project following j-hope’s discharge on October 17, 2024. During a previous Weverse livestream, Jin humorously announced that he intended to “kidnap”j-hope right after his return to create content for his variety show, RUN JIN.

“Once j-hope is released, I will kidnap him and bring him to the filming site,”Jin teased during his broadcast.

As j-hope’s discharge was being streamed, Jin’s funny plan to “kidnap”his bandmate was aired by Korea Now. After completing his service, j-hope also went live on Weverse, where he expressed his readiness to undertake any filming projects Jin had in mind.

“I’ve heard that Seokjin hyung has plans for when I get back? Just tell him to ask for whatever he wants,”j-hope mentioned during his stream.

In related news, new episodes of RUN JIN are released every Tuesday on BTS’ official YouTube channel, BANGTANTV. Jin is also gearing up to launch his debut solo album, Happy, on November 15, 2024.
