Achieving the title of Special Warrior in the South Korean military is a significant accomplishment that involves rigorous training. As per a post by user @marvellyjimin on X, a trainee must achieve over 18 successful shots out of 20 in 250-meter real-range shots to qualify as a special shot.

Physical fitness is also crucial, with soldiers needing to perform over 72 push-ups in 2 minutes, more than 86 upper-body lifts in 2 minutes, and run 3 kilometers in under 12 minutes and 30 seconds under ‘Basic Physical Strength.’

In ‘Combat Strength,’ a soldier must complete a fast-paced 10-kilometer march carrying a 25 kg load in under 2 hours and 10 minutes, and run 5 kilometers with a 15 kg load in 40 minutes. Additional requirements include completing 20 repetitions of Leg Tucks, finishing Battlefield Circular Movement in 2 minutes and 15 seconds, and completing a 240-meter Round Trip in 1 minute and 2 seconds.

Moreover, they must navigate a 3-kilometer Mountain Hike within 15 minutes, score 90 points or above in Mental Education, and demonstrate proficiency in guarding. Evaluations also consider individual combat capabilities and specific specialties.

Some units may require more specialized training, including chemical defense and grenade handling, with a score of 90 points out of 100 typically being necessary to pass.

To attain the Special Warrior designation, one must complete all portions of this demanding course. However, not every requirement is directly evaluated, and combat strength assessments can vary widely due to the extensive preparation and evaluation time needed.

The immense effort required to secure the Special Warrior badge makes Jimin’s reported achievement even more commendable, showcasing his excellence across all facets of life.
