On November 2, 2024, during the highly anticipated Lil’ WeezyAna Fest at the Smoothie King Center, rapper Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., famously known as Lil Wayne, was bestowed with the prestigious Key to the City of New Orleans. This significant honor also marked his induction into the inaugural NOLA Walk of Fame, celebrating his deep-rooted connection to his birthplace.

During the ceremony, fellow rapper Master P awarded Lil Wayne with an honorary plaque for the NOLA Walk of Fame, asserting, “I know y’all seen the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but on Feb. 6 on Canal St. we starting the NOLA Walk of Fame, and you’re the first one.”This recognition attests to Weezy’s influential role in the cultural fabric of the city.
