The recent release of BTS Jin’s special video for “Super Tuna”has captured the interest of fans worldwide, generating buzz online due to its new lyrics, engaging visuals, humorous portrayals, and a rumored tease regarding an upcoming music project. Jin initially launched “Super Tuna” on December 4, 2021, to celebrate his birthday, and now, on October 11, 2024, he has unveiled an extended version featuring never-before-heard lyrics.

A variety of clips from this special video have begun to appear on social media platforms such as X, where fans are expressing their enthusiasm. One notable post from user @sugas_studio showcased a supposed screen capture from the video displaying Jin inserting a cassette into a radio. The cassette bore a date labeled 11/22/24, which some interpreted as an indication of Jin’s forthcoming music release.

This tweet garnered over 185,000 views on X, fueling excitement among fans who believed it could be a hint. However, numerous fans quickly shared the relevant section from the special video to clarify that these rumors regarding the

Moon singer’s anticipated music release date were unfounded. In the original clip, the cassette displayed the phrase 슈퍼 참치, which translates to the Korean title of Super Tuna.

Disappearance of BTS Jin’s Original Super Tuna from Spotify

On October 11, 2024, Jin, a member of BTS, released the extended version of the single “Super Tuna”across several music streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. Simultaneously, the special video showcasing the extended version premiered on BANGTAN TV, BTS’s official YouTube channel.

The original “Super Tuna”made its debut on YouTube on December 4, 2021, and was later added to Spotify on October 20, 2022. Following the launch of the extended version, many fans noticed that the original track seemed to have vanished from Jin’s Spotify profile.

On October 10, 2024, Jin announced the arrival of the “Super Tuna”extended version prior to its official release, also mentioning his intention to remove the original song from several platforms. During a Weverse live session, he explained that while he would transition the original song to the extended version on some platforms, not all services permit such changes.

“Initially, I need to update the singles, and some platforms allow changes while others do not. I suggested simply deleting the old version and starting fresh — I asked if we could just remove it completely?”

Jin elaborated that this move might be disappointing for some fans, as platforms that cannot accommodate the update would necessitate a full removal of the original.

“Some fans expressed that it would be upsetting, so we’ll replace the single with the new version. On platforms that don’t support the upload of a new version, we’ll have to delete it entirely and re-upload the new version.”

The special video for Jin’s “Super Tuna”has taken social media by storm, showcasing his passion for fishing. The music video revolves around a light-hearted adventure as Jin embarks on a quest to catch a Tuna, with one memorable moment featuring Jin proposing to the Tuna, playfully asking it if it would take his bait, to which the Tuna blushes and agrees.
