Fact Check: Real or Fake? Debunking the Viral List of Diddy Party Participants Facing Jail Time

A so-called “official”list of attendees from Sean “Diddy”Combs’ parties has gone viral on X (formerly known as Twitter) following his recent arrest on sex trafficking charges. Although numerous celebrities were speculated to participate in his events, the document circulating online is not authentic.

Trigger Warning: The following article discusses s*x trafficking and s*xual assault. Reader’s discretion is advised.

X user @1mZerOCool tweeted on October 3, stating, “They finally dropped P Diddy list. Enjoy because all of them are going to jail!”The shared document listed various notable celebrities and politicians.

The purported attendees included Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Naomi Campbell, Mary J. Blige, Leonardo DiCaprio, Usher, Serena Williams, Jada Pinkett Smith, Oprah Winfrey, Lenny Kravitz, Post Malone, Snoop Dogg, Lewis Hamilton, Chris Rock, Dr. Dre, Gigi Hadid, Diplo, Offset, Saweetie, Prince Harry, Mark Wahlberg, Princess Beatrice of York, Princess Eugenie of York, Kamala Harris, Miguel, Normani, Rahm Emanuel, John Kerry, and Deval Patrick, among others. The purported list of Diddy’s party attendees is fake

X’s Community Notes labeled the aforementioned tweet as a “lie,” confirming that no official list had been released by law enforcement or reputable news sources. The Community Note stated:

“This is a lie. There has been no ‘official’ Diddy list to drop, nor will anyone here ‘listed’ be going to jail. At most regarding a list, Tony Buzbee recently mentioned that some more powerful figures could be revealed that are linked to this situation.”

Thus, it is evident that the list featuring purported partygoers of Diddy is not genuine.

The community note referenced Tony Buzbee, a Houston attorney representing 120 alleged victims of Combs, which includes 60 females and 60 males, some of whom are as young as nine years old. Buzbee announced that his legal team would expose the names of individuals involved in facilitating the alleged assaults “behind closed doors.” This information was shared in a press statement.

“The day will come when we will name names, other than Sean Combs, and there’s a lot of names. It’s already a long list, but because of the nature of this case, we are going to ensure we’re correct before revealing it. The names we will disclose. .. are names that will shock you.”

Diddy remains in custody as he awaits his trial date. An alleged list of celebrities who attended his notorious “Freak Off” parties has also gone viral, mentioning Aaron Hall, Drake, Lil Rod, Yung Miami, Justin Bieber, and Russell Simmons, among others.

For those unfamiliar, the Freak Off parties were described in the federal indictment against Combs as gatherings where Diddy allegedly exploited his influence to entice victims into s*x acts with male commercial s*x workers.
