A recent claim emerged on social media stating that rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z’s residence was raided by federal agents following the arrest of his former associate Sean “Diddy” Combs last week. This rumor originated on TikTok from the user @pp.chieu and subsequently gained traction on YouTube on September 19, via the channel Hot Hut.
“BREAKING NEWS: FBI Agents Officially Raid Jay Z’s House,” the title of the YouTube video indicated.
This 18-minute video claiming that Jay-Z’s house was raided has already amassed over 77,000 views, 879 likes, and 163 comments. The associated TikTok post, with a similar headline, garnered over 7,000 comments and 67,000 shares.

However, the now-circulating claim has been debunked. The YouTube video, an extended version of the TikTok clip, does not mention a raid at Jay-Z’s home. Instead, it discusses Jay-Z’s friendship with Diddy alongside Diddy’s ongoing legal challenges.
Moreover, the description of the Hot Hut YouTube channel explicitly states that all its content is designed for “entertainment purposes only”and includes the following:
“The views, opinions, and information expressed in our videos are based on rumors, gossip, and publicly available information. They should not be interpreted as factual or definitive statements about any individual or event.”
Investigating the Claim of Jay-Z’s House Raid
Earlier this week, another video popped up online with the headline, “Exclusive: Jay-Z’s House Got Raided!” Contrary to the claim, the video showcased clips from various news outlets discussing Diddy’s legal troubles. Furthermore, it transitioned to focus on the association between the founder of Bad Boy Records and Jay-Z.
The narrative raised whether Beyoncé’s husband might be next on the federal radar.
“If your best friend is caught up in some shady activities and you have a similar background, it’s not unfathomable to think there might be an overlap in events or that you may have some involvement,” the video proposed.
It further asserted:
“Jay-Z has been spotted at Diddy’s notorious parties, and one wonders what the authorities might have uncovered during the raids on Diddy’s residences. Perhaps, Jay’s name or image came up in the evidence, be it recordings or documents. And it seems Diddy won’t be facing these charges alone.”
The video speculated that Shawn Corey Carter, known as Jay-Z, “appears to be next on the list following Diddy’s arrest” and anticipated a “potential federal raid” on his properties or the possibility of him sharing a “jail cell” with Diddy. It also included statements from Sean Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, in the wake of Combs’ arrest and arraignment.
The video additionally featured snippets of Diddy’s car interview with James Corden, where he mentioned that other than his mother, the only person permitted to call him “Sean” was Jay-Z. The 54-year-old rapper elaborated on the fact that he and Jay share the same name plus a long-standing friendship, both professionally and personally.
Another segment showcased Jaguar Wright, a singer-songwriter, accusing Jay-Z of inappropriate behavior at one of Diddy’s parties. It also highlighted a past interview with Reggie Wright, the former general manager of Death Row Records, alleging Jay-Z’s involvement with underaged girls.
The video went on to claim that Jay-Z could end up in a “similar predicament” as Combs, suggesting that a single lawsuit could ultimately culminate in his arrest. Importantly, all claims regarding Jay-Z in the video are speculative and lack any factual foundation. Additionally, there have been no credible reports confirming any raids on Jay’s properties.
Furthermore, the YouTube channel that released the viral video clearly states that their content is founded on “rumors, gossip, and publicly available information.”
“We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability of the information discussed,” as outlined in their bio.
The channel’s description further emphasizes:
“We honor the rights of individuals and entities. If any content is deemed misleading, false, or offensive, please reach out to us directly, and we will take appropriate action. We do not wish to harm, defame, or malign any religion, ethnic group, club, organization, company, individual, or anyone.”
It also encouraged viewers to refrain from holding them “liable” for any “misinformation, harm, or damages” arising from their content, urging everyone to “think critically and verify information before accepting it as fact.”
Thus, the viral claim that Jay-Z’s house has been raided has proven to be false, fabricated, and groundless.
Interestingly, this is not the only recent rumor about HOV circulating online. Following Diddy’s arrest, several other sensational clickbait videos have appeared on YouTube. These include claims that Jay-Z has fled abroad, posted by Mandy’s Vision channel, and assertions regarding the FBI leaking audio clips between Jay and Combs, shared by the Caught on Camera channel.
Jay-Z Allegedly Attended Diddy’s “Freak Off”Parties
In light of the ongoing allegations, images of Jay-Z reportedly at Diddy’s parties have surfaced online. One of these images shows him alongside Damon Dash and Jennifer Lopez, but Dash clarified that it was not one of “those parties” but rather a “decent”gathering in the Hamptons from 20 years ago.
Additionally, Jay has been rumored to be among countless individuals who reportedly attended Diddy’s infamous “freak off” parties. Federal prosecutors have described these gatherings as events where Puff Daddy allegedly “misused his power to lure victims into s*x acts with male commercial s*x workers.” Moreover, radio host and blogger Jason Lee claimed to have seen the Roc Nation founder at one of Diddy’s “freak off” parties.
In March 2024, Diddy’s residences in Los Angeles and Miami were raided as part of a Homeland Security investigation related to a series of lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault and trafficking allegations. Six months later, on September 16, he was taken into federal custody on charges including racketeering conspiracy and sexual trafficking by force or coercion.
Diddy is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, awaiting trial and has been denied bail twice. However, he entered a plea of “not guilty” during his court appearance last Tuesday.
