Recently, rumors circulated on X (formerly Twitter) claiming that Beyoncé had lost four million Instagram followers, with some speculating that this decline was linked to her and Jay-Z’s association with Sean “Diddy”Combs. However, these assertions have been proven false.

According to Social Blade, a platform that offers global analytics for content creators, streamers, and brands, Beyoncé’s follower count had actually decreased over several months rather than dropping suddenly overnight.

On September 27, an X account named @PopFlopHQ tweeted that Beyoncé’s followers had plummeted from 320 million to 316 million. The post, which included screenshots, garnered nearly a million views by the time of this report.

Additionally, Perez Hilton’s official blog and the Culture Colectiva website reported on these claims.

“Beyoncé has recently become embroiled in controversy as many social media users have targeted her profile, connecting her to Diddy’s legal issues and the unfortunate passing of Aaliyah, leading to a significant follower loss,”commented Culture Colectiva.

Despite the virality of these claims, it is important to clarify that they are unfounded. The singer did not experience an overnight loss of 4 million Instagram followers.

According to the statistics from Social Blade, the singer actually gained 56,151 followers on September 27, 2024.

Beyoncé’s Follower Count Is Not Decreasing Due to Diddy’s Allegations

X’s Community Note highlighted that Beyoncé’s Instagram follower count did not specifically decrease by four million coinciding with Diddy’s recent arrest. Responding to @PopFlopHQ’s tweet, X user @obynofranc stated:

“Stop lying. She has had 316M followers since August. Instagram began purging her followers in February (she has been dropping since then). Lmfao.”

Looking at Beyoncé’s follower statistics on Social Blade, it is evident that her follower count reached 316 million in August, having a total of 316,914,063 followers as of August 19, 2024.

It is crucial to note that there is no evidence linking the drop in follower count with her connections to Diddy. Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that the singer is not facing follower losses related to her association with the now-incarcerated artist, who faces serious charges including s*x trafficking.
