With the widespread use of AI in the tech industry, it can be confidently stated that numerous companies are now incorporating their own versions. The Exynos 2400 by Samsung is a prime example, as it offers various AI features through its Galaxy AI. Yet, it is apparent that the company is not finished, as a recent rumor suggests that the Exynos 2500 may utilize Google’s TPU for AI acceleration. If this comes to fruition, users can expect even more advanced AI capabilities in the upcoming Galaxy S25 devices.

Samsung’s Exynos 2500: A Potential Game-Changer If Executed Correctly

For those curious, the TPU (Tensor Processing Unit) was initially introduced in the Pixel 6 alongside the first iteration of the Tensor processor. Since then, it has continuously improved over the past few years. These Tensor chipsets are developed in partnership with Samsung, suggesting that the Exynos 2500 could effectively utilize the same processing unit.

If Samsung chooses to utilize Google’s TPU for the Exynos 2500, it would result in the Galaxy S25 series having unadulterated machine-learning APIs. This would enable the device to run various models without any interference. Despite the current strength of the Galaxy AI, which heavily relies on the cloud, the inclusion of a dedicated TPU on the chipset would significantly enhance its AI capabilities.
