On Thursday, October 24, Lil Durk was apprehended in Broward County, Florida, facing charges of murder-for-hire. As reported by the BBC, the acclaimed rapper is currently incarcerated without the possibility of bail in connection with a shooting incident from 2022 that resulted in the death of Quando Rondo’s cousin.
Following Durk’s arrest, Rondo shared a message on Instagram on Sunday, October 27, discussing themes of forgiveness, stating:
“We’ve already lost so much, and it’s heavy on my heart to forgive anyone I had issues with in the past. Praying for everyone.”
Although Rondo’s post was aimed to promote his latest track, “Life Goes On,”fans speculated that it may also be related to Lil Durk’s recent arrest.
The feud between Lil Durk and Quando Rondo began in November 2020, following a shooting incident that claimed the life of King Von, who was a close associate of Durk. Since then, the two artists have been embroiled in ongoing conflict.

November 2020: Conflict Leads to King Von’s Death
The public rivalry between Lil Durk and Quando Rondo first came to light during an incident in Atlanta on November 6, when their groups clashed outside of the Monaco Hookah Lounge.
The situation escalated from a verbal dispute to violence, with gunfire erupting around 3 am, resulting in three individuals being shot, including King Von.
As reported by Yahoo, Von succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital.
April 2021: When Rondo Reflects on the Shooting
According to Complex, Rondo disclosed that he had been sleeping in his vehicle leading up to the incident, adding:
“In my mind, I’m just thinking regular, in reality like you would think. I’m about to let these people walk past me. I’m not about to try and go through these people or nothing like that.”
He elaborated:
“I’m thinking these were some regular individuals. … So I’m letting this group come by. Next thing you know, a n***a hit me. Boom bow. I lie to you not. It’s like I had an out-of-body experience.”
August 2022: Lul Pab is Shot in a Planned Attack
On August 19, a shooting in downtown LA was reportedly orchestrated against Quando Rondo and his associates. According to XXL Magazine, the attack unfolded outside the Beverly Gas Station in the Beverly Grove neighborhood.
Three masked individuals—believed to be affiliated with Lil Durk—opened fire on a black Cadillac Escalade that Rondo was presumed to be traveling in.
Unfortunately, Lul Pab, who occupied the vehicle instead of Rondo, was shot and killed during the assault.
May 2023: When Rondo Dissed Lil Durk
Despite his growing faith and desire to choose a new direction, Quando Rondo admitted to holding a longstanding grudge against both Lil Durk and King Von.
When invited for an interview with Dirty Glove Bastard as part of the Off The Porch series on May 25, he discussed Durk, saying:
“We blessed, we angels. But, on God … I ain’t tryna die for Durk. I’m not! I’mma keep it real!”
However, when Lul Tim’s name came up, Rondo expressed deeper loyalty:
“I’d die for this man, though… N***a, if I knew, I’d lay down my life and die for this man. Slit throat. Right now, on God. Because I know — I know — he’d do the same for me. Sh*t, he almost did. I take that sh*t to heart.”
Lul Tim was present during the interview and is implicated in the death of King Von in 2020.
September 2024: Quando Rondo Considers Mending Fences with Lil Durk
Prior to Durk’s arrest, Quando Rondo was seen discussing his journey as a practicing Muslim in a video posted on September 11. In it, he was encouraged by a Muslim advisor to reconcile with Lil Durk, who is also a practitioner of Islam.
Rondo expressed his hesitance but eventually stated:
“I love a lot of brothers for the sake of Allah.”
His willingness to resolve past conflicts, particularly with Lil Durk, was met with applause from his friends, signaling a significant shift given their turbulent history.
Lil Durk’s recent arrest occurred just a day after five members of his crew, known as Only The Family (OTF), were taken into custody regarding the same case.
As noted by an affidavit from FBI agent Sarah Corcoran, OTF members were implicated in “violence, including murder and assault, directed by Banks, aimed at preserving their status within OTF.”
