Big Brother season 26’s episode 36 premiered exclusively on CBS on October 6, 2024, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. The synopsis for the episode states:
“The head of household nominates three fellow houseguests for possible eviction.”
Chelsie Triumphs in the Final HOH Challenge on Big Brother Season 26 Episode 36
In this episode, only three of the four contestants participated in the final Head of Household competition, as Makensy was ineligible due to her prior week’s HOH status. The competitors Chelsie, Cam, and Rubina engaged in a challenging game named ‘Hid Agenda,’ where they needed to answer quiz questions and uncover hidden phrases.
During the opening round, Rubina impressed with her accurate answers, while Cam showcased his speed by finishing first in round two. Chelsie shined in round three, leaving Cam behind after he faltered with an incorrect response. Ultimately, Chelsie emerged victorious in the Head of Household competition, despite Cam making it to the final round.
Once Chelsie claimed her title, she nominated Makensy and Cam for eviction, highlighting that the winner of the Power of Veto would wield significant influence over the game. This kicked off the Power of Veto competition, which saw the remaining houseguests contend against each other.
The challenge titled ‘Passcode Protectors’ required contestants to answer questions accurately and promptly. Any contestant who answered after their allotted time was automatically disqualified after incurring three strikes.
The last player standing in this intense challenge would be crowned the winner of the Power of Veto competition.
In this round, Makensy accrued one strike, while Chelsie faced two strikes due to slower responses on two questions. Rubina received her first strike on the fourth question and a second one on the sixth. Ultimately, Rubina was disqualified after answering the eighth question too late. At this juncture, Cam had only racked up one strike, whereas Makensy faced her second during the fifth question.
The identity of the Power of Veto competition winner was not disclosed in this episode, leaving fans eagerly awaiting episode 37 for the big reveal.
