Filming for Deceitful Love commenced in March 2023, with the enchanting Amalfi Coast serving as the series’ primary backdrop.

Amalfi Coast, Southern Italy

The stunning Amalfi Coast was selected as a principal filming site, known for its captivating views of the vast sea and majestic mountains, making it an ideal setting for the passionate romance depicted in the series.

This UNESCO World Heritage site has been featured in various Hollywood productions including The Talented Mr. Ripley and classic Italian films such as L’Amore and The Emperor of Capri. The picturesque town of Positano, located just 18 kilometers from the Amalfi Coast, also served as one of the filming venues.

Naples, Campania

Various iconic spots in Naples were utilized for filming the series. Notably, the Chiaia Riviera, a bairro famous for its historic villas, was one of the locations for several key scenes.

Additionally, filming occurred at boutique-lined streets of Via Calabritto and the vibrant Piazza dei Martiri. The quaint hamlet of Miseno in Bacoli was also captured on camera.

Synopsis

The narrative of Deceitful Love revolves around the unique relationship between Gabriella (Monica Guerritore) and Elia (Giacomo Gianniotti), who is significantly younger than her. Their unconventional romance prompts skepticism from many, including Gabriella’s three adult children.

In a bid to deter their relationship, Gabriella’s eldest child, Stefano (Emanuel Caserio), attempts to cut off his mother’s financial resources and even files a criminal complaint against Elia for allegedly taking advantage of her. Meanwhile, her younger son, Nico (Francesco Del Gaudio), is equally wary of Elia’s intentions.

Gabriella finds her only ally in her daughter Giulia (Dharma Mangia Woods), who controversially offers to pay Elia to remain with her mother.

The arrival of Elia’s ex-girlfriend, Marina (Denise Capezza), with whom he shares a newborn child, further complicates matters.
