Exploring the Fallout Between Corona and Ingi in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 6 Episode 17

On October 21, 2024, episode 17 titled “Donna Mia”of Season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way premiered. This episode spotlighted a tense disagreement between Ingi and Corona after Corona uncovered that Ingi had been socializing with other women. Their exchange concluded abruptly, leaving them with lingering uncertainties.

Earlier in the show, Corona met her friends to delve into her relationship with Ingi. She expressed concerns about the lack of intimacy in their partnership, leading her to question Ingi’s commitment to their relationship.

Despite her concerns, Corona professed her love for Ingi and her desire to marry him. She was willing to pause her career ambitions to dedicate herself to him. However, her friends’ revelations about seeing Ingi with other women at a bar made her reconsider her commitment.

When she confronted Ingi about the possibility of cheating, he brushed off her inquiries, claiming he merely had female friends while asserting his dedication to Corona. Nonetheless, his defensiveness heightened Corona’s suspicions. When she pressed him about marriage, he shocked her with his assertion that he doesn’t believe in the institution of marriage. Ingi expressed a desire to date her without the need for marriage to validate their relationship.

“Marriage doesn’t mean a thing”— Ingi from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way expresses his views on marriage

During discussions with her friends, Corona revealed she would have to wait at least a year before applying for the midwifery program in Iceland. Even though it was a difficult choice, she opted for this path, fully aware that she could have already completed her studies in the U.S.

The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star shared her hopes for their future together with Ingi. Still, she acknowledged their ongoing struggles with intimacy. While understanding his hesitancy, she hoped they could improve that aspect of their relationship.

In response to her friends’ queries about Ingi’s loyalty, Corona mentioned that he often joked about keeping his options open. Despite her trust in him, she couldn’t help but feel that these jokes might have some truth. One of her friends revealed having spotted Ingi talking to another woman at a bar.

“I trust Ingi. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt for now, but I worry he might not fully grasp my expectations in this relationship. I’m sacrificing my place in midwifery school to be here in Iceland,”Corona expressed.

When she approached Ingi about the rumors, he reacted defensively, saying, “It’s like you don’t trust me and I really don’t like that.”He further stated that he had “lots of friends”— some of whom were female — and questioned if she expected him to remain silent when out with friends.

As Ingi became defensive, Corona grew increasingly suspicious. Speaking to the camera, she reflected on witnessing “a new side”of Ingi that felt “childish”and “pissy.”

She needed reassurance from Ingi regarding his commitment to their relationship, to which he replied, “I love you.”Fearing that she was merely a “trial”in Ingi’s life, she questioned his intentions about marriage. Ingi, taken aback by the question, explained that he came from a “country of atheists”where marriage held little significance. Despite this, he envisioned their relationship as lasting forever.

“Marriage doesn’t mean a thing to me. When you love, trust, and share a relationship with someone, that’s enough. Having some guy in a robe say something in Latin doesn’t hold value for me,”he explained.

Ingi reassured her that they could consider marriage in the “near future,”but his lack of commitment left Corona feeling disappointed. She expressed that she didn’t want to marry someone who wasn’t eager to tie the knot. Feeling frustrated by Ingi’s unwillingness to engage in a meaningful conversation, she ultimately left the discussion.

“Right now, I feel so foolish. Why would I sacrifice my ambitions to be with someone who may not even want to marry me in the future? It makes me feel isolated in this relationship,”Corona lamented.
