Lily then recounted their previous night’s argument, but Josh interrupted her, questioning her need to bring it up. The cast member revealed in a talking head that the couple had been having numerous disagreements since his arrival in China.

“I have felt very helpless. That’s why I have to ask for help from his family. I believe that because Jarod loves his older brother, he would be willing to help out with our marriage,”she shared with the cameras in her native language.

Lily detailed how their dinner out had turned sour as she felt that Josh was “always”on his phone. She mimicked how he hastily kept his phone on the table when she asked whom he was texting.

Josh described her reaction as “dramatic,”while Lily noted that after their exchange, she had lost her appetite. He claimed that he had been messaging his family before they sat down and insisted he had tried to communicate with her, but she ignored him. Josh added that Lily eventually walked out on him at the restaurant.

“You know, it’s not normal behavior,”Josh remarked.

Jarod interjected, noting that it sounded like Lily was genuinely upset. Josh countered that Lily frequently got upset “easily”and for “no reason.”The conversation escalated when Lily mentioned the dinner costing “500.”Josh pointed out that she always liked to remind him of the expenses she incurred for him.

“When we met, I know you were poor. You told me you have no money, right? Yes, when we first met. But I’m still married to you. I told you, I don’t care about money,”Lily emphasized.

Josh responded by stating he wasn’t like her and did not enjoy “living in the past.”He accused her of liking to instigate arguments and “sabotage”their relationship.

In a confessional, Josh voiced his frustration with Lily continually bringing up financial topics despite knowing how it affected him. He mentioned that she seemed more focused on proving herself “right”to the “world”rather than resolving their issues.
