The highly anticipated season 7, episode 8 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days premiered on October 20, 2024, at 8 PM ET/PT on TLC. Fans are now diving into the emotional ups and downs of both new and familiar couples featured in this season’s narrative.
This series follows the journeys of individuals who form romantic connections with partners in different countries. They are given a 90-day window to obtain a permanent visa and adjust to an unfamiliar environment as they strive to achieve a happy ending with their loved ones.
In the recent episode, a tense situation unfolded between Sunny and Veah. The issue stemmed from Veah’s decision to bring her ex-boyfriend, Rory, along during her trip to South Africa. Veah argued that her anxiety about traveling alone necessitated Rory’s presence. This revelation left Sunny feeling devastated, resulting in him walking away from Veah at her hotel.
Veah’s trip to South Africa with her ex on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days
The segment highlighting Sunny and Veah began with the couple enjoying their outing in Durban, blissfully ignorant of the fact that Veah had traveled with her ex, Rory. In a confessional, Veah expressed her understanding that honesty was crucial, yet she hesitated to reveal the truth, fearing it would disrupt their perceived “happy paradise.”
Two hours later, the tension escalated as Sunny uncovered the truth. The show’s producers included a title card to clarify the situation, noting that Sunny spotted a photo of Rory on Veah’s phone during their flight.
“You’re messing with my feelings. What the hell, Veah? You brought your ex to Durban! This is insane,”Sunny shouted.
Sunny was seen attempting to leave the confrontation, but Veah managed to catch up to him, trying to clarify her actions. She stated that Rory had flown with her for emotional support, as she felt uneasy traveling solo. When Sunny pressed her on why she hadn’t shared this before, Veah further explained that she anticipated Sunny would not take it well.
Veah mentioned she was searching for the right moment to disclose her travel companion but felt that Sunny didn’t trust her. Sunny conveyed that her omission made him feel foolish for having previously believed in her honesty, suspecting she may be hiding more. Ultimately, Sunny asked Veah to give him space, declaring he no longer wished to continue their relationship.
Despite Sunny offering Veah a ride back to her hotel, insisting he was not “an a**hole”like her, she declined and earnestly reiterated her feelings, insisting her visit to South Africa was solely for him and that she had no lingering feelings for Rory.
In a later confessional, Veah expressed her dismay at how her visit had turned out. She felt she was finally in a space where she could share significant information, only to be interrupted when Sunny caught her texting Rory.
While en route back to her hotel, Sunny expressed his desire to remain silent and just head home when Veah attempted to suggest that their relationship could still be salvaged.
“We fundamentally have trust issues. It’s not just about feelings, it’s deeper than that,”Sunny remarked.
He went on to explain that their reason for being together was to determine if they were meant to be, but due to the circumstances, he felt emotionally drained and sad about continuing down this path.
